2007-10-24:
We finally decided to disband IRON ANGEL.
We tried for a long time to find proper new musicians for the band to be able to perform live again. That’s when we saw, what IRON ANGEL was all about. IRON ANGEL wasn’t just band, but five friends. That’s something you can’t reconstruct, even the best possible musicians. Nobody, may he be the best guitarist around, could replace Peter Wittke. Thorsten Lohmann was ready to join again, as was Sven Strüven who unfortunately was seriously handicapped by his drug addiction in the recent past but is – lucky enough –clean again. A further reason is us two being busy a good deal with our families and jobs. Dirk has just became father for the third time. This all would hinder us from playing a whole tour. If we would approach the whole thing as a mere studio project, it wouldn’t be IRON ANGEL either. That’s what we found out, when we released the “Back from hell” demo. We won a whole lotta new fans with this demo, but also lost a good share of old and loyal fans.
We once again want to thank all people involved and the fans for their longlasting friendship and help.
Big thanx again to Hilke Braun!
We won’t stop completely, but just change sides. Dirk and me will put up a studio-project with Hilke. It’s still nameless, but we’ll produce the Metamorphosis album with her.
Dirk and me also received requests from other bands to remix or produce their material. This is what we will do under the name “MCORDS” (www.mcords.de) in the future.

Homepage with new design. Many fans that visited our hompage with FRIEFOX and OPERA had problems with viewing it. That’s why we have decided to make the layout more simple. We will also extend the site with reprinting the lyrics of our two albums Hellish Crossfire and Winds of War.

Our CD and Vinyl Shop is online now. You can order our new demo “Back from Hell” (25 minutes of IRON ANGEL-POWER), as well as Hellish Crossfire (CD and Picture Disc), Winds of War (CD and Picture Disc) and the tapes (CD)! At present , it’s still only a simple shop, which pop-up with a new site.. Our homepage will a new design, that will go online as soon as possible (I’m working on it with high pressure).

"Back from Hell-Demo" soon finished!
We are working straight on mixing our demo. Release is expected end of april.

Many people will ask themselves why we will “ONLY” release a four-track-Demo, and not a full album after such a long time. There are many reasons. With the songmaterial itself, we could easily fill five or six albums, but unfortunately we don’t have the financial, technical and time-related background , which benefits other bands who are with a label. That means, we are working in regular jobs beside our music, and that takes a large part of our daily time. Unfortunately, we also lack people that help us with the organization of the ittle things a band has to do. Dirk and me also need time for our families. As Dirk is a Truck-Driver he is often  “on the road” for six to eight weeks in one go. That´s the reason why we need so much time for the production of the “Back from Hell” demo. What also takes a lot of time, are the daily inquiries that we get by E-Mail. A further reason are our new songs. Since it is very heavy (and was) for us to find the right musicians for Iron Angel, I had to learn and practice hard on all instruments (I am actually a drummer) to record it for the demo. Therefore, a demo is currently the best for us and the fans. And this brings me to the topic of playing “LIVE”. In so many e-mails we are asked, if we will play “Live” again. At present we, like mentioned before, still haven’t  found musicians which fit with us, since Iron Angel was (is) not only a band, we were five friends who made music together. We do not give up the hope!!!!!! At present we will not play “Live”.

Here are the latest news. At the moment Dirk and me are in the last round for the completion of our new demo "back from Hell". We got assistance from a real "IRON ANGEL", the "BARRITUS" front singer Hilke Braun, who sang backing vocals together with Dirk

One of our shops is online. There will be two shops. A shop for t-shirts etc, which is online yet, and a shop for CD´s and Vinyl. The shop for CD´s and Vinyl is coming next.

2006-02-11:
Our homepage is online again. But the whole work is not done. Successively,  we will update the sites. We will release the lyrics of both albums HELLISH CROSSFIRE and WINDS OF WAR under Discography. But that needs still some time.

2005-11-11:
We re-released the HELLISH CROSSFIRE, the WINDS OF WAR and the TAPES together with Painkiller-Records as CD and as Picture Disc ´s.
